What do I need to apply for motor insurance?

Please make sure that you have the following details to hand:

• Vehicle details (registration number is needed when you come to buy the policy)
• Your full address, including postcode
• Your licence details
• Number of years or percentage of no claims discount (NCD)
• Details of claims and convictions for the past 5 years for all named drivers to be included on the policy
• Details of any other drivers, including their licence details
• The type of cover required
