What it covers

  • Your buildings are insured against loss or damage caused by escape of water
  • Escape of water from any washing machine, dishwasher or plumbed in domestic water or heating installation

What isn't covered

  • Loss or damage occurring during any period when the home is unoccupied for longer than permitted period of unoccupancy, or/and between lets
  • Loss or damage caused by overflowing wash basins, sinks, bidets, showers, and baths as a result of taps being left on
  • Loss or damage to property that happens gradually over a period of time, such as corrision or rusting, sulphate reacting with any material from which the property is built
